Wellingara - Reach Education Centre

The school is a ministry under Evangelical Church of The Gambia. It was founded in 2013 by Rev. Edward and Mrs. Patience Jatta.
The school in Wellingara began as a nursery school with a few teachers and by 2015.
It was also operating as a primary school. Today the school has about 1000 + students and a staff of around 80. The school also receives volunteers from WEC International.

The school continued to grow and expand and go from strength to strength. In Wellingara they teach the core subjects like English, math, along with subjects such as drawing, phonics, verbal and also a library.

Tallinding- Reach Education centre (Grade 6 - 9)

In September 2022, Reach Education Centre officially opened a second campus which is now Junior High. This was because the school needed an expansion due to the growing numbers of students and the need to accommodate the growth. The school has about 300 students. Tallinding Campus has 9 permanent teachers some being part time teachers and auxiliary staff and volunteers received from WEC, in total, about 20 staff members.
Some of the subjects taught include the core subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Physical education, Literature, arts and crafts, home science just a few to name. A library also operates on the school grounds.
​Our goal is to provide good education for the children, but also share God’s love with them and pass on wisdom for their life. The everyday life of the school can be challenging and exciting at the same time. The children are full of energy and surprises.
